A week ago, we reported on Uber’s plans (which operates delivery services in Poland as UberEats) to acquire Delivery Hero (which operates as Glovo in Poland).

A lot has happened since then. Shortly after Uber’s plans were announced, its American competitor, the DoorDash platform, also announced it was in talks to acquire Delivery Hero.

And now, analytical giants are plotting scenarios. Firstly, Delivery Hero primarily operates delivery services in Europe and the Middle East. Secondly, both Uber and DoorDash already have a presence in Europe – the latter acquired the Deliveroo platform in 2025. Thirdly, in mid-May of this year, the current CEO of Delivery Hero announced his resignation, and the company itself announced it was launching a “strategic review” (which, in business parlance, means: we are for sale).

But regardless of all these corporate maneuverings and plans, all of this could fall apart due to EU antitrust regulations.

And we remind you of what we always say: it doesn’t matter what we call the platforms or who owns them. They all exploit workers. Because this exploitation is the foundation of their business model.
