More than 900 platform workers took part in a protest in Toronto, Canada. Organized by a new initiative called “Delivery Drivers United,” the protest targeted the working conditions at Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Skip. The protesters demanded fair treatment, equitable pay, and safe working conditions.

Their primary demands include a higher hourly wage, a transparent system for calculating base pay, compensation for waiting time at restaurants, accident and health insurance, guaranteed access to restrooms in restaurants, and the provision of sheltered areas for workers to wait for orders.
