The Greek trade union for eFood platform workers has announced a mobilization regarding the implementation of the Platform Work Directive. Three gatherings are planned for the coming days, including one in front of the Ministry of Labour.
The eFood platform union (the platform operates as Glovo in Poland), together with thirteen other unions, is demanding that the new regulations fully recognize workers’ rights. A key demand is that the implementation of the Directive should provide the option to enter into an employment contract, granting delivery workers the right to paid leave, social security coverage, and reimbursement for fuel costs.
