Two weeks ago, we reported on the launch of a Center for Delivery Workers in New York (here). Now, the New Delhi [India] city government has announced the creation of a similar network of Regeneration Centers. These centers will offer delivery workers a place to rest, access to restrooms, the ability to charge phones, and eat meals.

City officials hope that providing delivery workers with adequate rest will improve their safety and reduce the number of road accidents.

And we repeat the question: why are the costs of exploitation in platform work once again being passed on to citizens? Isn’t providing access to restrooms the employer’s responsibility?
