People working as Suppliers for the Glovo Platform in Gdańsk have announced another protest. It is to take place next Wednesday [16.04.2025] at 10:00 in front of the Glovo Center (ul. Toruńska D/E).
In a short statement, they explain the reasons for the protest:
We, couriers, are tired of constant anxiety and worrying about whether we will get on a bike/scooter or in a car the next day to earn money that used to be worthy, now it is charity.
At the same time, a list of comments regarding the functioning of the Platform was published:
1. The application incorrectly displays login zones
2. Cash orders are allocated when the courier’s balance is PLN 0
3. Very limited contact with support, no satisfactory solutions to problems,
4. Drop in the order acceptance rate for no reason
5. No payments on time (some have been waiting for 2 weeks) and incorrect calculations
6. Deliveries outside the zones where you have to return for free because you won’t get the order there,
7. Couriers are forced to make almost daily cash payments and block the account if it is not paid quickly, there is also no clear information on how much and when to pay, and if there is any, it does not reflect reality
8. Account blocking for rejecting or canceling an order
9. Drop in results for no reason
10. No extras for waiting at the point (and in some the courier can wait even an hour) – Why don’t you rewrite it? Because you will either get banned or another order to the same point
11. When you are stuck in a traffic jam, you may be blocked due to lack of progress
12. Drastically reduced rates
13. Information Deposit cash to keep your booked sessions – After depositing, all booked sessions disappear and you do not earn for a week
14. Constant recruitment, no limit of couriers so that everyone can earn normal money
15. Any delay not due to the courier’s fault, or missing orders or a simple error during delivery reflects on the food delivery person, is punished by a drop in rank or taking money for the food ordered by the customer.
16. Ranks that prevent you from booking hours, which is associated with a lack of earnings.
