The Fairwork Project has published a report on working conditions for Platforms in Italy. Based on the analysis of many factors (including wages, form of employment, contract terms), this report assesses (in the form of a ranking) working conditions in five Platforms. Here are the results (maximum 10 points):
Jobby – 8 points (Temporary work platform, type of employment agency)
Just Eat – 7 points (Delivery platform, in Poland as Pyszne.pl)
Glovo – 4 points (Delivery platform)
Deliveroo – 3 points (Delivery platform)
Helping – 2 points (Platform with cleaning services)
The report showed that only two platforms (Jobby and Just Eat) guarantee their employees a salary equal to or higher than the minimum specified in the collective labor agreement in force in Italy.
Fairwork is an international project covering 38 countries on 5 continents. It is coordinated by the Oxford Internet Institute and WZB Berlin Social Science Center.
