The strike, which began last Friday [March 20, 2026] in the Cypriot city of Limassol, has spread to Nicosia and Larnaca. Those working as delivery drivers for the Wolt Platform are on strike. Their demands include raising wages (minimum €2.50 per order) and surcharges for waiting for orders in restaurants (€1 for the first 15 minutes).

In retaliation for participating in the strike, Fleet Partners are massively suspending accounts and threatening non-EU individuals with reporting them to immigration services, which for many means risking visa loss. There have also been reports of attacks on strikers – unknown perpetrators allegedly beat delivery drivers, which employees consider an attempt to intimidate them.

There have also been reports of a three-day strike by delivery drivers for the Wolt Platform in Croatia. Unfortunately, we don’t have any more information about this campaign at this time.
