Remember those online analyses and speculations about whether Pyszne.pl would disappear from Poland because it was acquired by Glovo? Many people wondered about this, because in 2025, the investment fund Prosus bought shares in Just Eat Takeaway.com (operating as Pyszne.pl in Poland) while also owning shares in Delivery Hero (in Poland as Glovo).
And now all those discussions from a year ago are no longer relevant.
A few days ago, Uber Platform announced that it had purchased shares in Delivery Hero from Prosus, now owning almost 20%. Technically, this isn’t an acquisition, but it does raise a new topic for analysis: Will Uber acquire Glovo?
And instead of wasting time on such speculation, we’ll just say: it doesn’t matter what we call the Platforms. Because they all exploit workers anyway. Because exploitation is the foundation of their business model.
