The exhibition “No Hands: How the Bicycle Is Changing Warsaw” is currently running at the Museum of Wola in Warsaw. As you might guess, it is dedicated to both Warsaw and bicycles.
And this coming Thursday [October 8, 2026], as part of the “Velouniversity” series, a discussion titled “The Uberization of Transport and Services: The Case of Food Delivery Couriers” will take place. Naturally, the main focus will be the working conditions of people employed as delivery workers for these platforms. Participants will include Kseniya Homel-Ficenes (a sociologist from the University of Warsaw), Katarzyna Duda (author of the book *Uberization: On the Working Conditions of Couriers*), and Stanisław Kierwiak from the Confederation of Labour (Konfederacja Pracy) trade union active at Pyszne.pl. And, of course, we’ll be there too!
It’s worth dropping by—especially since admission to the museum’s exhibitions costs just 1 PLN on Thursdays.
