The Guardian reported on the controversy surrounding the appointment of James Purnell as Chief of Staff in the British government (similar to the position of Chief of Staff in Poland). Purnell until recently headed the lobbying firm Flint Global. Although the company does not officially disclose its client list in the UK, European Parliament records indicate that it has worked for Uber, among others. Now, he is expected to join the government formed by the left-wing Labour Party.
