What? About Glovo again? Is this an obsession of yours? Well, maybe so, but the company itself begs to be written about.
As we have written many times, the Glovo platform in Spain literally escaped bankruptcy (see e.g. here). Now the situation at Glovo is described by the Spanish economic newspaper “Cinco Dias”. The reason is the company’s audit performed by KPMG. In it, the authors express their doubts about Glovo’s ability to continue as a going concern. According to documents, the 46 subsidiaries that make up the Spanish Platform recorded losses totaling EUR 648 million at the end of 2023, EUR 241 million more than a year earlier.
It is also worth adding that the owner of Glovo, Delivery Hero, had a loss of $2.3 billion in 2023.
