The Greek Trade Union of E-food Workers has called for a strike during the FIFA World Cup final match (Sunday, July 19th, from 7:00 PM to midnight). The strike was deliberately timed to coincide with an expected increase in orders. Those working for the e-food platform (in Poland, this platform operates as Glovo) want to demonstrate that business cannot function without them. The protest is expected to include suppliers, office and warehouse workers, and e-food markets.
The main demands include the signing of a Collective Bargaining Agreement with pay raises for all departments within the platform, guaranteed hourly wages, accident insurance, and free equipment necessary for work. Additionally, the Union demands that the platform allow individuals to transition from self-employment to full-time employment and the complete elimination of Fleet Partners.
