The Berlin-based Lieferando Workers Collective has long been working to improve the employment conditions of those working as delivery drivers for the Lieferando Platform (operating in Poland as Pyszne.pl). In recent months, it has been conducting a campaign targeting Fleet Partners who exploit the delivery drivers’ labor.
On May 20, LWC organized a one-day strike in Berlin. However, the Platform has already responded in its own style: participants have begun receiving unauthorized warnings claiming that participating in the strike is illegal and threatens legal action against the Platform. Simply put, the Lieferando Platform is intimidating workers for fighting for improved working conditions.
