The German Food, Beverage and Catering Trade Union (NGG) is calling on all those working as suppliers for the Lieferando Platform to take strike action on Thursday, October 23rd.
The strike is in response to the Platform’s decision (operating in Poland as Pyszne.pl) to force 2,000 employees into pseudo-self-employment or employment with Fleet Partners.
The strike is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the following day. In addition to the strike itself, NGG is planning a protest rally in front of the Lieferando HUB (at 1:00 p.m., Rotherstr. 16, 10245 Berlin). A protest march to the Platform’s headquarters is also planned.
As Central Office, we will add the obvious: we support this strike action. A strike is probably the only way left for us to fight for our workers’ rights.
