Last weekend, in the Turkish city of Denizli, delivery drivers for the Yemeksepeti Platform organized a protest. The rally presented nine demands and commemorated the deliverers who died in accidents at work.

Some of the demands included: the creation of an accident support fund, limiting delivery distances to 7 km, increasing delivery wages, enforcing weight limits (maximum delivery weight 30 kg), and limiting work hours to 12 hours per day.

The deliverers also revealed that the Platform’s management tried to persuade employees to cancel the rally by calling them before the event, suspending their accounts on the Platform, and openly threatening them.
