Last Saturday [24.08.2024], the British newspaper The Guardian published an article about the standard of living of people employed as suppliers for Platforms in England.

The authors describe the living conditions of people who work over 330 hours a month (full-time is 180 hours), while earning an average of £6.27 per hour (the minimum wage in England is £11.44).

The fact that they work so much, earning so little, means that they have to live in slums, in trailer parks. As a result, in addition to living problems, mental health problems often appear.

At the same time, it was pointed out that one of the Platforms (Deliveroo) openly sponsors the left-wing Labour Party, which until recently declared the elimination of this exploitation. But it somehow happened that it has now abandoned this postulate.
