We are returning to the world of big business. First of all, the Uber Platform, but everything remains the same. According to the report for the first quarter of 2024, the company is again (as always) incurring a loss. This time only USD 654 million. Let us remind you that after 15 years of operation, the company announced that it closed 2023 with a profit. But this “turning point in the company’s history” is highly questioned because it results from a change in the valuation of Didi (owned by Uber). Didi is a platform operating on the Chinese market, about which there are many doubts because no one can verify data regarding its activities.
And, of course, about Glovo (as we all know: a day without news about this platform is a wasted day). A few days ago [May 10, 2024] the Platform withdrew from Slovenia. It is not known how many people were left unemployed, but the Platform acted in accordance with its declarations of being “socially responsible” and generously announced the closure of its activities 9 days in advance.
