On Saturday [April 13, 2024], a two-day strike of people working for the Glovo Internet Platform begins in Poznań.
This will be the second strike in a short time in this city – the previous one was in March, also two days long. As the organizers emphasize, the demands of the previous strike were completely ignored by the Platform. – We worked very carefully on our petition, collected the couriers’ opinions, analyzed it, in order to convey our problems to GLOVO as quickly as possible. And this is very strange, but no one from them expressed any interest. That’s why the next strike has the slogan “Stop ignoring workers,” Ivan, one of the people organizing the strike, told us.
The founding meeting of the Couriers’ Trade Union will be held in parallel to the strike. It is planned to summarize the activities undertaken so far and jointly define further plans.
Those involved in the strike call on all groups and others to spread the word about it.
