Has anyone read this yet? We’re referring to Travis Culley’s book, “The Immortal Class: Bicycle Couriers and the Cult of Human Power.”

The description goes something like this: Travis Hugh Culley came to Chicago to work and make a living as an artist. He knew he’d have to fight, but he discovered that this fight meant more than hard work and a penchant for poverty. Becoming a bicycle courier, he found a sense of community, fulfillment, and a brotherhood of like-minded individuals. He traversed the cityscape like a postmodern cowboy; he slipped like a shadow through towering skyscrapers; he soared like a falcon through the roaring chaos of Chicago’s multi-layered streets. He became an invisible man in society, yet simultaneously its most intimate observer. In one of the most dangerous jobs on land, he found freedom.

It doesn’t sound very appealing to us, but maybe we’re wrong.
