Yesterday [05.05.2025] we wrote about the layoff of 150 people working as Suppliers for the Blinkit Platform. But a much bigger drama had already taken place in India two weeks earlier: the BluSmart Transport Platform suspended its operations from one day to the next. This meant that over 10,000 people working for it were completely out in the cold.
And it was supposed to be so beautiful: revenues in 2024 are almost USD 100 million, almost 25 million transports completed in the last year and only in electric cars (almost 9,000).
Well – this is what the Platform Economy looks like.
