The US-based Justice for App Workers coalition has called on all people working as Platform Delivery Drivers to hold a nationwide strike on February 14, 2025 – Valentine’s Day.
They briefly justify the strike date:
Uber, Lyft and Delivery drivers are SICK of being pushed around by Platforms. We are tired of working 80 hours a week to make ends meet, constantly fearing for our safety and worrying about being deactivated with a single click. That’s why this Valentine’s Day we are STRIKEING!
Justice for App Workers brings together organizations representing a total of over 130,000 people working as Delivery Drivers and Platform Drivers in the US in 19 cities.
