Today, a serious academic analysis. More than half a year ago [June 8, 2024] a scientific article was published: ‘We Are Not All the Same’: The Capacity of Different Groups of Food Delivery Gig Workers to Build Collective and Individual Power Resources.
The article examines how different groups of people working as Suppliers for Platforms create and maintain strategies to build institutions (e.g. associations) that care about their social and professional situation. The text allows us to see different levels of agency, often dependent on the immediate life situation of individuals or entire groups.
