This is news from the world of stability, tradition and tea drunk at five in the afternoon.
A strike referendum is currently underway at the courier company eCourier operating in Great Britain. Interestingly, the company belongs to RoyalMail, which means it is de facto state-owned. The referendum is being organised by the Independent Workers Union of Great Britain (IWGB), Couriers and Logistics section.
According to the IWGB, eCourier incorrectly classifies employees as independent contractors. The case has been going on since 2017, when this practice was revealed. The company has undertaken to clarify the matter, but nothing has happened.
