A week ago [May 4, 2026], an employment tribunal hearing began in England concerning the false “independent contractor” model used by the Just Eat platform for those working for it as delivery drivers. Seven thousand delivery drivers are fighting to be recognized simply as employees. They are represented by the law firm Leigh Day, which has previously won similar cases against the platforms Uber and Bolt.
