We continue the series of presentations of trade unions, associations and groups that fight against the exploitation of Platforms. Today: Brazil. In June 2020, Platform employees went on strike. This time, the organizer was not a trade union, but an informal movement spreading on the Internet through hashtags: #BrequeDosApps (break the application) and #YoNoReparto (I will not deliver). Initially, the group of initiators was small, but it quickly grew, gaining support also in neighboring countries.
The largest protest took place on July 1, 2020, when 5,000 employees of Internet Platforms went on strike in San Paulo alone.
