Vida is one of the seven trade unions of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions. It was established in 2006, and in 2021 it represented over 130,000 employees. vidaflex has been operating since 2017, dealing with the “flexible” work sector.
On March 7, 2024, vida organized a two-hour warning strike in Vienna of people working for the Liefando Platform (belonging to Just Eat, in Poland operating as dobre.pl) and Foodora (belonging to Delivery Hero, in Poland it is present as Glovo). The main demand: a salary increase of at least the inflation rate (8.7%) for over 4,000 suppliers.
