In the series of presentations by trade unions, associations and groups that fight against the exploitation of Platforms around the world, today: thousands of Platform workers from Great Britain and the USA.
Yesterday [February 14, 2024], employees of Platform Uber, Lyft and Deliveroo went on strike. Between 5 and 10 p.m., when many people were planning a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner and the Platforms were counting on much higher turnover, thousands of people refused to complete orders. There were over three thousand of them in Great Britain alone!
To everyone who joined the strike on our behalf: THANK YOU! As history shows, this is the only way to gain respect, decent pay and workers’ rights.
