You may not know this, but there is such a thing as the International Labour Organization (ILO) and it is one of the UN agencies. It deals with the market and working conditions around the world. A month ago [2-13.06.2025], at the 113th ILO Conference, the conditions of our work – that is, work for Platforms – were discussed. It was the so-called first discussion, which is to be continued next year. The goal: to develop international standards on the conditions in which we should work. They even adopted a type of working document (here)!
And cool, for a debate on documents that do not bind anyone to anything, this is a great pace. Let’s hope we live to see it.
