We are returning to Greece, because there is a lot going on there. Last week [17.10.2024] we reported on the strike and meetings organized by people working as Delivery Drivers on the efood.gr Platforms (belonging to Delivery Hero, operating in Poland as Glovo) and Wolt (see here)
The strike was announced in defense of collective agreements, demanding full insurance coverage for employees and granting the same rights to remuneration as in full-time employment, so that they would cover all Delivery Drivers.
The Delivery Drivers decided to continue the protest, and another strike was announced. This time, a two-day strike, on November 1 and 2, 2024.
The protest is supported by many trade unions, but the main driving force is of course the Delivery Drivers themselves.
