As we have already informed, yesterday [March 21, 2024] at 12 noon the strike of people working for the Glovo Platform in Poznań began. More than 40 people showed up at the called picket. The demands were read and forwarded to the Platform’s headquarters. Local media also came in large numbers. People from the Inicjatywa Pracownicza trade union also provided support.
As announced, the strike will continue today. As the strikers emphasize, people from other cities also come forward. Plans are being made for further campaigns, including intercity ones.
People working at Glovo in Grudziądz have announced strike action for tomorrow [March 23, 2024]. This will be the second strike in the last 2 weeks. After the last strike, the Platform’s only response was to block the accounts of several employees and open recruitment to new ones. Exactly the same thing is currently happening in Poznań – recruitment has also opened here.
The Konfederacja Pracy trade union officially spoke out in defense of employees in Grudziądz. He demands the immediate reactivation of the suspended accounts and Glovo to enter into dialogue.
