In a series of presentations by trade unions, associations and groups that fight against Platform exploitation around the world, today we return to Europe: the Czech Republic!
On February 1, 2023, couriers and couriers working for Wolt said: ENOUGH. A strike was announced, a petition was sent to the Platform authorities, and a demonstration took place on one of the main squares in Prague.
The reason was the same as always: cutting salaries. It was the first such protest in Czech history.
In one of the press interviews, a representative of the Platform replied: We have never seen so many Wolt courier partners on our platform. Everyone wanted to try the new compensation model, which is very positive.
