In the series of presentations of trade unions, associations and groups that fight against exploitation Platforms around the world, today the German Die Gewerkschaft Nahrung-Genuss-Gaststätten (Trade Union of Food, Beverage and Restaurant Producers, NGG).
Two weeks ago [May 1, 2024], NGG organized a strike of people working as suppliers for Lieferando in Frankfurt am Main. Leferando is a platform belonging to Just Eat Takeaway.com, known in Poland as Pyszne.pl.
The strikers demanded a collective agreement, an increase in the minimum wage, additional pay for work at night and weekends, and a thirteenth salary.
