And we have another protest in Poland. After Grudziądz – this time Poznań – a group of people working for the Glovo Platform announced a strike action on Thursday [March 21, 2024]. A picket will be organized during which they want to present their demands. The strike is to last 2 days. Currently, over 30 people have already announced their participation, and on-site support will be provided by people from nationwide trade unions. From unofficial information, we know that the Glovo headquarters in Poland is already aware of the strike announcement.
This is another protest at Glovo in Poland – a week ago [March 9, 2024] there was a strike at Glovo in Grudziądz, and various other protests have been going on for a long time in other countries – such as the last strike in Vienna [March 7, 2024].
Let us remind you: Glovo belongs to the Delivery Hero corporation, present in many countries under various brands (including Foodora, foodpanda, efood.gr, InstaShop, foody). Currently, the company has huge problems with observing employee rights, confirmed by court judgments. In Spain, the fines imposed on it are so enormous that the courts suspended their execution because their enforcement would bankrupt the company.
