We’ve written several times about the problem of access to restrooms for people working as Suppliers for online platforms. And here’s another “echo” of this situation. Two weeks ago, in Berlin [Germany], a manager at the Burgermeister restaurant denied a Supplier working for the Lieferando platform (known in Poland as Pyszne.pl) access to the bathroom. Furthermore, he not only banned him from the bathroom but also physically assaulted him. The Trade Union operating at Lieferando came to the Supplier’s defense and organized a picket of the restaurant. And now, the Platform’s management has openly admitted: “We have no rules governing cooperation between restaurants and Suppliers, including when it comes to restrooms.”
