After all these years of debates, analyses, arguments, lobbying, negotiations – in the end there will be a big “NOTHING”. The European Union will have no platform work directive after France, Germany, Greece and Estonia formed a “blocking minority” last Friday [February 16, 2024].

Of course, we can now spend our time discussing and guessing. Is it because the governments of these countries did not agree to the “soft” version of the directive (and that was the only one left on the table)? Or maybe politicians from these countries reached an agreement on a completely different issue and replaced this directive with another one?
