We have another installment of the conflict at Pyszne.pl (read about the entire conflict here).

Instead of engaging in dialogue with people working as Suppliers, the Platform’s management publishes texts on news portals to improve the Platform’s image. At the same time, it began recruiting new employees, this time promising them earnings of over 8 thousand gross, presenting employment conditions as allowing for life stability.

We contacted the Trade Unions involved in the conflict at Pyszne.pl for a comment on these activities

Polish Syndicalists’ Union:
The gross salary that the Platform boasts about in the advertisement, assuming that the courier would make at least 400 deliveries, would require over 240 hours of work, or 285 hours counting the guaranteed hourly rate without uncertain bonuses. In both cases, such a workload drastically exceeds the amount of overtime hours permitted by the Labor Code. Indeed, there are employees who work 10-16 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Leaving aside the safety issues of employees who participate in road traffic to such an extent, it is worth asking whether, in Pyszne.pl’s opinion, such work means the life stability promised in the advertisement? The platform does not offer a fixed salary at all and does not guarantee even one hour of work a month. To sum up, the situation is that Pyszne.pl employs for minimum wage, does not guarantee work and fires Delivery Personnel from one day to the next without giving a reason, which is the opposite of stable employment.

Confederation of Courier Work Pyszne.pl
We believe that instead of PR and recruiting employees based on questionable promises, we should take care to resolve the basic issues affecting the work of couriers. In particular, it is unacceptable for couriers not to know what time they will finish work and couriers delivering using their own vehicles are not paid for the time spent returning to their starting zone.
