Today, in a series of presentations by trade unions, associations and groups that fight against Platform exploitation in the world, the Indian Federation of Application-Based Transport Workers (IFAT).

IFAT was established on September 22, 2019.
The organizations that make up the Federation are:
-Maharashtra Application Based Transport Workers Union (MATWU)
– Taxi and Rickshaw Drivers Union “Shivsangram” (STRU)
-Telangana Four Wheeler Drivers Association (TFWDA)
– Namma Chalakara Trade Union (NCTU)
– Sarvodya Drivers Association of Delhi (SDAOD)
– Online Taxi Drivers Guild (OCOG)
– Independent Association of Taxi Drivers and App-based Drivers (Lukhnov)
The Federation is affiliated with the International Transport Workers’ Federation.

On October 8, 2023, IFAT organized a strike of Platform employees in Mumbai, completely paralyzing work at Swiggy and Zomato. A few days later, a two-day strike took place in Chennai – Uber and Ola applications stopped.
The demands are the same as almost everywhere in the world: increasing salaries, providing health and social insurance, transparent conditions of remuneration and dismissal from work.
