A week ago [November 12, 2025], those working as Suppliers for the Wolt Platform in Malta went on a one-day strike. The reason is the same as always: further pay cuts. Suppliers have published their rates for the same jobs. Recently, the Platform has been offering exactly 50% of their previous salary.
As a reminder, the Maltese government plans to fully unionize all those working as Suppliers for the Platforms. This unusual move is intended to ensure that the Platforms respect workers’ rights. More information can be found here
