As reported by the French Le Figaro, the JUST EAT Online Platform is closing the Scoober Platform operating in Paris.
Just Eat is a global platform operating under many brands – in Poland it includes Pyszne.pl. Scroober is currently probably the only platform in France that employed suppliers on contracts, currently over 100 people worked there. They will all lose their jobs.
In Paris, the Just Eat platform will continue to operate, which, according to its management, does not employ suppliers but only has “subcontractors”.
In a statement, the company wrote directly that the employees were the reason for closing Scoober: The competition, having no employees but only “subcontractors”, has much greater freedom to generate profits.
Let us recall that last year Just Eat operating in Great Britain reduced the number of “subcontractors” by over 1,700 overnight.
At the same time, in 2022, the Platform had a record-breaking loss: over EUR 5 billion.
