The US-based Jacobin magazine, in an article published in March 2022, draws attention to paradoxical capital connections and how they lead to scandalous situations when the government of one country profits from the exploitation of workers in another country.
Jacobin revealed that in 2020, the director of the “Stuart” Internet Platform, Damien Bon, received a 964 percent increase in his salary. At the same time, couriers working for “Stuart” received a 24% reduction in their basic rates.
And what does this have to do with the French government?
“Stuart” is registered as a company in Great Britain (and through subsidiaries it operates in many countries, including Poland). In 2015, it received EUR 22 million in financing from GeoPost/DPDgroup. GeoPost is a subsidiary of La Poste, the French state post office.
