Two couriers working in Germany for the Internet Platform “Flink” were fired, allegedly for speaking publicly about poor working conditions. Coincidentally, both of them were union founders at “Flink.”
A comparison immediately comes to mind with the now defunct “Gorillas” Platform – its leadership openly fought against all attempts at unionization.
But as one of those fired emphasizes: “Flink is learning from Gorillas’ mistakes. Gorillas has been very open in expressing their opposition to Unions, while Flink is the opposite – they say they really want Trade Unions, but they don’t want Trade Unions.”
