This headline is an obvious clickbait, but don’t worry: we’ll explain what it’s all about (and you can find our guide at the end of the text).

Online Platforms deliver various types of products. Not only meals from restaurants, but also purchases from very different stores. Including alcohol. As is common knowledge, the sale of alcohol is subject to rigors. It requires a permit from the municipal authorities, and it is not allowed to sell it to people under 18 and to those who are already drunk when buying it. And in the case of online sales, it seems that meeting both of these requirements is practically impossible.

But don’t worry, what are Delivery Platforms for? In their pursuit of additional orders, they found a way to bypass these rules: all they have to do is transfer the customer verification duties to the Supplier. When delivering alcohol, they are the one who is obliged to check the age and possible state of intoxication of the customer.

And now let’s imagine: it’s the middle of the night, the Supplier delivers the order. There’s a party going on at the venue… Will the Supplier be able to refuse to deliver the order in such a situation? For the sake of completeness, let’s add: Suppliers are often young people who do not speak Polish and do not even know what a Polish ID card looks like.

And what if the Supplier does issue alcohol without verification, illegally? Of course: they are not employees of the Platforms, they are independent subcontractors, so they are fully responsible for the illegal sale of alcohol!

And now our promised guide.

The authorities of Warsaw, under social pressure, are planning to introduce a ban on the sale of alcohol in stores at night. A similar ban is already in force in several cities in Poland.

So how can you get around this ban?
Here is our free advice: order alcohol with delivery to the specified address via the Internet Platform!

Simple? Of course it is!
