Chapter 3. Manual handling of objects by one employee
§ 13. Limit on the weight of items lifted and carried by one employee
1.
The weight of objects lifted and carried by one employee cannot exceed:
1) for women – 12 kg for permanent work and 20 kg for occasional work;
2) for men – 30 kg for permanent work and 50 kg for occasional work.

The weight of objects lifted by one employee above the shoulder girdle cannot exceed:
1) for women – 8 kg for permanent work and 14 kg for occasional work;
2) for men – 21 kg for permanent work and 35 kg for occasional work.
3.
If objects are carried by one employee over a distance exceeding 25 meters, the weight of the objects carried must not exceed:
1) for women – 12 kg;
2) for men – 30 kg.
4.
If objects are carried by one employee uphill on an uneven surface, ramps or stairs, the maximum angle of which does not exceed 30° and the height of which exceeds 4 meters, regardless of the distance over which the objects are carried, the weight of these objects cannot exceed:
1) for women – 12 kg;
2) for men – 30 kg.
5.
If objects are carried by one employee uphill on an uneven surface, ramps or stairs, the maximum angle of which exceeds 30° and the height exceeds 4 meters, regardless of the distance over which the objects are carried, the weight of these objects may not exceed:
1) for women – 8 kg for permanent work and 12 kg for occasional work;
2) for men – 20 kg for permanent work and 30 kg for occasional work.
