In a series of presentations by trade unions, associations and groups that fight against Platform exploitation around the world, today we return to Greece.

We have already informed about the announcement of a 4-hour strike by eFood employees in Athens. The Trade Union of E-Food Industry Workers – Attica Region called for strike action (
Σωματείο Εργαζομένων στην Efood Περιφέρειας Αττικής). Currently, the strike has been extended – it will last 24 hours, it will also take place in other cities (including Thessaloniki, Patra, Larissa, Joaninna) and will culminate in a motorcycle demonstration at 18 in Athens.

This is the third strike in the fight against the employer to conclude a collective agreement between the company and its employees.
The strike is a response to the company’s introduction of 24-hour work. Currently, eFood delivers non-stop – at any time of the day or night. As trade unionists emphasize: such work is a threat to our lives. We do not agree to die on the streets to earn money.
