The French newspaper Le Monde reported on two court rulings ordering the Deliveroo platform to end the sham of contracts with “subcontractors” and employ a total of 46 people working as Delivery Drivers on normal terms. However, if the Delivery Drivers decide to abandon this form of employment on the Platform, they will then receive their salaries in accordance with the rules applicable to a full-fledged employment contract. The newspaper also reports that another class action lawsuit, covering the cases of almost 60 workers, will be decided in early July.
