As we reported (e.g. np. here and here), the courier company eCourier operating in Great Britain announced a strike action for November 14 and 15, 2024. The main demand of the strike is the proper employment of employees – not as “subcontractors” but as employees, based on labor law and with full social rights. At the same time, they demanded an increase in wages so that they would no longer be “degrading”.
On the occasion of the strike, two pickets were organized under the company’s headquarters, and two column rides through London.
And we remind you: eCourier belongs to Royal Mail. So exploitation affects everyone, even those who work in state-owned companies!
