This is the brief summary of the report “Income and Working Hours: Analysis of Platform Courier Activity – 2025 Edition.” It was published by the French Agency for Social Relations and Platform Employment (ARPE) in April 2025.
The study analyzes working conditions on four platforms in France (Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Stuart, and Delicity) from 2021 to 2024.
During this period, average wages (per hour) declined across all platforms, for example:
– Uber Eats: -34.2%
– Stuart: -26.6%
– Deliveroo: -22.7%
These data only cover time “on the road” (from order acceptance to delivery). When waiting time between orders is also taken into account, actual hourly earnings drop even more dramatically, often falling below the minimum wage.
