Last Friday [July 25, 2025], just before midnight in Boston, USA, a delivery driver for the DoorDash platform was shot. He was immediately taken to the hospital, and police reported that the gunshot wounds were not life-threatening.
This is another incident that confirms information published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics: delivery workers are among the 10 occupations with the highest mortality rate while on duty.
