We continue our series of presentations on the activities of unions, associations and groups that are fighting against the exploitation of Platforms. And so we return to the USA and New York.
We have already presented the group Los Deliveristas Unidos (here), it is one of the projects focused on the initiative of the Workers Justice Project. Today we want to draw attention to their joint publication Delivering Justice from February of this year [2024].
This is a report detailing the ongoing struggle of app-based delivery drivers and their key role in the New York restaurant industry. It contains a number of recommendations on road safety, pay transparency, tipping, data security and the broad protection of the rights of app-based workers.
