You might say that we’ve lost touch with reality. Maybe so, but we’ll answer “Be realistic – demand the impossible”. The point is that we have the impression that in Poland all people working for Platforms have accepted the situation that since it’s “temporary” work, we don’t raise the issue of pension contributions. They simply don’t exist. Nobody pays them, nobody demands them.
And in the meantime: the Indian government, when adopting the budget for 2025, allocated special funds to support the healthcare system and pension system, which are addressed to Platform Workers (of all types, not just Delivery or Transport).
Yes, yes. This is the India that we commonly perceive as a country of poverty and backwardness. I wonder if the Polish Ministry of Labour (or e.g. ZUS), when implementing the EU Directive on Work for Platforms, will also think about this issue?
